Otto International has been a leading worldwide manufacturer of quality headwear for over 50 years. Otto is the largest headwear wholesale supplier to embroiderers, screen printers, marketing specialty distributors, and other resellers in the United States.

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTDigital Brand Group was engaged to develop custom software applications to increase operational efficiency and reduce overhead between Otto’s three primary distribution centers located in California, Texas, and Georgia. Otto partnered with Digital Brand Group to develop the company’s proprietary wholesale ordering platform. The Internet-based customer ordering system for the largest cap distributor in North America also needed to be re-architected to increase customer satisfaction, bolster online sales, and drive resale customers off the phones and online.

TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEWDigital Brand Group advised, architected, and executed on all development efforts during each workflow process enhancement and technology project. The primary requirement was to transform the existing infrastructure, while not disrupting the workflow of existing processes.

The user facing systems established to satisfy specific order processing and fulfillment initiatives consisted of the following three solutions:

  1. Product Catalog Website
    Corporate Website for resellers to create wholesale accounts, view Otto product details, and get other information.
  2. Wholesale Ordering Platform
    Protected system for resellers to manage account options, process new orders, check shipping status, verify product stock and arrival, view open and closed orders, and process returns.
  3. Administration Web Portal
    Content management, product management, customer management system, database management, and management of other key wholesale ordering platform functions.

Digital Brand Group successfully developed and launched the Otto wholesale ordering platform and other key supporting applications. The custom platform has allowed Otto to continue developing systems that fit its unique manufacturing and distribution needs, which had previously been difficult to improve due to third-party software constraints and limitations. Today, Otto processes millions of dollars in sales per month through the proprietary platform and continues to innovate and grow with Digital Brand Group as its technology services provider.
